This may be the greatest museum-related headline in the history of museum news.

HELP NEEDED: WE HAVE LOST 2 WORLD WAR I AIRPLANES, NO I AM NOT KIDDING

It seems that a museum in Toledo, Ohio has misplaced a bunch of stuff that went into storage.

So, yeah… if you happen to spot a couple of WWI planes and enough weaponry to occupy a decent sized town, there are people who want to know.

Personally, I would start questioning anyone who ever said they wanted to invade Michigan.

That is absurd. Normally I would be stunned, but the recent news that NASA recorded over the original moon landing tapes set a new precedent for screw ups in historical preservation.
