- France’s Museum of Air and Space makes April Fool’s hoax about a returning flight for Concorde.
- Also good to see jokes coming from a museum about a plane that blew up and killed 109 people nearby, ultimately leading to its decommisioning.
- Great article about the guy who does narration for museum audio-tour guides and how little money he gets for it.
- In my dream museum, my audio tour guides would be read by Jeremy Irons.
- Donn Zaretsky sums up the entire deaccessioning argument against illogicalities in an article for Art in America.
- I would like Donn (and any others) actually write up an entirely new set of deaccessioning ethics guidelines and policies. Would be interesting to see the results.
